Herenin south africa, the ruling party members put virtual spanners into the "machinery" of the power stations in order to break it, so they will be able to contract the repairs through their own selected teams at skyhigh prices, time and time again. Always keeping it in the crime syndicated families. That is an ongoing parasitic economy and will never end. We have now loadshedding for the past 3 years on a constant basis. It is so bad that they recently appointed a minister of "electricity" (don't know why, probably because the minister of energy and resources is too busy with his own coal mines and can't keep up) who was immediately within 2 weeks time re-promoted to minister of "loadshedding". Escom has the economy of the country as a whole on its knees on a daily basis. On average we get up to 9 hours daytime without electricity, and when switching to solar, we get hidden penalties. We are a tough nation and are so used to incompetent leaders that we can only joke about it to make life more bearable.
